A copyright notice informs people viewing your work that it is copyrighted and eliminates any potential for ambiguity (ex. someone claiming that they were unaware that the work was copyrighted).
A copyright notice must be attached to the work clearly and noticeably. It can be achieved in three different ways:
- © [year] [name of the owner]
- Copyright [year] [name of the owner]
- “All Rights Reserved”
